Like many nonprofit and advocacy organizations, the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA) does not run its fiscal or accounting year based on the calendar year. We began a brand-new financial year on July 1. That means this time of year brings reflection, planning, and gratitude for your support in helping us to fund our vital mission.

We are pleased to share with you that LBCA had another record-setting fundraising year last fiscal year, receiving 788 donations. The generosity shown by those impacted by ILC is inspirational. Donors chose to give in various ways: by setting up a recurring gift and joining the Circle of Compassion, by hosting a fundraiser on behalf of LBCA (a peer-to-peer fundraiser); via a donor-advised or family fund; by making an online donation; via check or stock; or in another way. As an organization that relies primarily on your financial support to achieve our mission and on behalf of our entire community of those interested in or impacted by ILC, thank you.

We are grateful, but this is just the beginning and there is more work to be done. A new year marks the opportunity to reflect but also to look ahead. At LBCA, we are busy rolling out new initiatives as part of our strategic plan for the new financial year and planning on how donations from our generous community will help us to meet these ambitious goals.
