Building a Community Amongst Peers
All breast cancer isn’t the same, and invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC), also know as lobular breast cancer, is a unique subtype of the disease. Many women diagnosed with ILC have found their way to the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA) and want to help build a community among peers. They want to share the most current information about ILC detection, treatment, and clinical trials with others. They also want to raise awareness about this common, yet understudied breast cancer type that desperately needs more research. Through these women’s stories, we are educating others, raising awareness about ILC and LBCA as a resource, and advocating for more research.
