LBCA Resources for Patient Advocates

Resources for Patient Advocates

Based on feedback from the last Symposium in 2024 and with guidance from our ILC Symposium 2026 Advocate Planning Committee, we have prepared a set of readings, trainings and resources for you to watch and/or review prior to the 2026 ILC Symposium.

You can click on the links below to watch the videos and or you will be taken to great background documents on ILC you can read.

LBCA ILC Training Curriculum with advocate Q &A

LBCA worked with Scientific Advisory Board members and other ILC researchers and clinicians to compile the following  comprehensive training for patient advocates on invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) aka lobular beast cancer offered in four parts. Topics include the biology, treatment, imaging and surveillance of ILC. Following that are other webinars or documents that we thought would be good background.

Readings for ILC Symposium 2026 and about ILC

Note: A compilation of the backgrounds on the topics and presenters at each session in lay language written by patient advocates is being provided separately in a PDF to advocate attendees pre-symposium. It will be added to the website here when the ILC Symposium recordings are posted and made available to all.

Other recommended readings include the following.
