New Local Advocacy Team Launched in Cascadia region of US

LBCA’s third Local Advocacy Team (LAT) has launched in the region of the US known as Cascadia, including Washington, Oregon and Idaho and will be run by LBCA LAT Ambassadors Kathleen Moss and Leslie Pifer-Pien.

LBCA created LATs as a way to provide opportunities for individuals with lobular breast cancer living in the same geographic area in the US to connect and engage in ILC awareness raising activities in person, locally. In 2024 two LATs were launched, the Lobular Awareness Network of South Carolina and LAT DMV: Washington, D.C., Maryland & Virginia

LBCA COO Mason Mitchell-Daniels interviewed the newest LAT ambassadors, Kathleen Moss and Leslie Pifer-Pien to learn more about this new advocacy team, what inspired them to work together and what their plans are to raise awareness and advocate for more lobular breast cancer research in the Cascadia region of the US.

Watch the interview with the LAT of Cascadia to learn more.
