Highlights and Learnings from the 2024 International Invasive Lobular Carcinoma (ILC) Symposium

In September 2024, Leuven, Belgium was host to the fifth international ILC Symposium. More than 150 researchers, clinicians and individuals who have had or are living with lobular breast cancer from Europe, the US, UK and elsewhere gathered to learn and share the state of lobular breast cancer research and clinical trials worldwide. For those of you who weren’t able to attend the 2024 ILC Symposium in Leuven, and/or who wish to view and read summary information from the Symposium, we have compiled summaries of the ILC research that was presented and discussed in a few different formats and in one case in other languages.

In the article, 2024 ILC Symposium: Patient advocacy, research partnerships bring lobular breast cancer to the forefront, LBCA Patient Advocate Advisory Board member and founding patient advocate Diane Mapes explains the key takeaways from the September ILC Symposium in Leuven, the fifth since the first in 2016.  Click here to read her recap of the event.
