Get Involved to Help Spread the Word about Lobular Breast Cancer
We’re three months away from lobular breast cancer’s important day during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October 15th. We’re hard at work planning to raise awareness of ILC across the globe.

With your help, we have applications for Governor’s Proclamations in the works in 20 US States plus a mayor’s proclamation in Toronto, Canada!

Alaska, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin
If you don’t see your state on the list, email Communications@lbca.org now to find out how you can help!
Help Us Spread the Word on Social Media! Have you shared your ILC Story?
Sharing your stories of experience with lobular breast cancer diagnosis and treatment is one of the most effective tools we have to raise awareness of the challenges of ILC and the shared experiences so many with ILC face: a cancer missed by regular imaging, diagnosed later and larger, with no specific treatments and disproportionately low research funding compared to other types of breast cancer. This is a reality we all know must change.
As part of our October 15th campaign we will be sharing short video reels across our social media channels, which receive thousands of views. You can see more samples of these here or watch Karen’s. We invite you to share yours.
If you’d like to share your story with us, either in a short video for social media or in written form for our newsletter, reach out to Communications@lbca.org to find out how.
The global effort between LBCA, researchers, clinicians and other partners is a significant means to raise awareness of invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) and the unique challenges it presents, and with your help our impact is growing. We need as many people as possible to take action in all of our communities to expand our reach this year!

If you’d like to get more involved by requesting a governor’s declaration, recording a reel or hosting an event in your local community please complete this form to indicate how you’d like to participate and we’ll be in touch soon!
