Members of the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA) Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) as well as patient advocates spent time in April educating others about invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC).
On April 6, Matthew Sikora, PhD, was joined by a group including LBCA Board Chair Tracy Cushing, MD, LBCA Founding Advocate Lori Petitti, and LBCA volunteer Donna Charlevoix for Lobular Breast Cancer – Research & Advocacy on the Front Range. Included in the event was an ILC research update with Q&A by Dr. Sikora and Dr. Maggie Musick. While the event was in-person, it was also livestreamed and recorded.
On April 26, Rachel Jankowitz, MD, shared the latest information and research for metastatic lobular breast cancer as part of the Komen MBC Impact Series titled Research Advances in Inflammatory and Lobular Metastatic Breast Cancer.
