The Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA), along with many other nonprofits, often receives gifts via a memorial or an honorarium. Many people find that these are wonderful ways to celebrate a loved one not only at their passing but also to mark a special occasion during their lifetime.
Memorial gifts are made in many ways. For instance, LBCA might be named in an obituary as the organization to which donations may be sent in an individual’s memory. We may also receive a tribute gift directly in a loved one’s memory. We are sensitive to the fact that these gifts are made during a very sad time. We are always grateful to be the named organization and work with the families to ensure their wishes are realized.
Honorarium gifts are often a celebration of a special or joyous occasion. A wedding, a shower, a birthday, an anniversary, or other occasion can be a time to ask for loved ones to support you through a gift to LBCA.
To learn more about these types of giving or to discuss a plan you might have please reach out to Laurie Hutcheson or visit our Ways to Give page. If you are giving a gift via credit card or echeck on our website, simply fill in the gift details, click “Next,” and you can then put in the name of the person in whose honor or memory you are making the gift. Then you will fill in the rest of your personal details.
