On September 12, 2023, the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA) hosted the live webinar “What’s New in Screening and Treatment for Lobular Breast Cancer.” The program, moderated by LBCA Executive Director Laurie Hutcheson, provided attendees with an opportunity to hear from three panelists who discussed the screening and treatment of invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) from their specific clinical perspectives.
During the webinar, Tali Amir, MD, from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, shared information on ILC detection and surveillance. Next, Anita Mamtani, MD, FACS, also from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, presented information on lobular breast cancer and surgery. Finally, LBCA Scientific Advisory Board Immediate Past Chair Rinath Jeselsohn, MD, from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, spoke about current ILC treatment and the future direction of treatment. This was followed by a live Q&A session with attendees.
Watch the recording and view the slides. You can also read the anwers to many of the questions submitted during the webinar that the panelists did not have time to answer during the Q&A session.
LBCA is grateful to Seagen Inc. for their support that helped to make this webinar possible.
