Webinar: Clinical Potential of FES/PET Imaging for Patients with Metastatic Lobular Breast Cancer

On December 2, 2021, the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA) presented the educational webinar Clinical Potential of 18F-fluoroestradiol (FES) PET Imaging for Patients with Metastatic Lobular Breast Cancer. The webinar was moderated by LBCA Executive Director Laurie Hutcheson and featured radiologist and LBCA Scientific Advisory Board Member Dr. Gary Ulaner, oncologist Dr. Hannah Linden, and a patient with metastatic ILC. All have had experience with Fluoroestradiol (FES) used with Positron Emission Tomography (PET). FES/PET is a new resource being used in imaging metastatic breast cancer tumors that are estrogen receptor positive.

The intent of the webinar is to share information about FES/PET and how it is used in making new treatment decisions for patients with metastatic ILC. The event also discusses other potential applications for imaging and people with ILC that it may be important to explore. This webinar was sponsored by GE Healthcare.
