On June 1, 2022, the University of Colorado Anschutz hosted an in person event focusing on invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC). The hour-long session allowed attendees to learn about the biology, unique pathology, and clinical management of ILC, the second most common type of breast cancer.
Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA) Board Member Dr. Tracy Cushing began the program by sharing her personal experiences with ILC and how it led to becoming a patient advocate. Next, Dr. Anthony Elias spoke to clinical management of ILC. LBCA Scientific Advisory Board Member Dr. Matthew Sikora finished the session by speaking to basic science and research of ILC.
