On Friday, October 9, Fox Chase Cancer Center will welcome the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance by serving as a special stop on LBCA’s Lobular Breast Cancer Cross-Country Awareness Tour.

• The event will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Center Circle (rain location: Leidy Auditorium), bringing together patients, caregivers, advocates, healthcare providers, and members of the Fox Chase community to raise awareness of invasive lobular breast cancer.
• Brief remarks will be delivered by Austin Williams, MD, MSEd, FACS, of Fox Chase, Rachel C. Jankowitz, MD, of Penn Medicine, Laurie Hutcheson, MS, of LBCA, and Evelyn Gonzalez, MA, of Fox Chase.
• Attendees will hear updates on lobular breast cancer research and treatment and have time to visit the LBCA bus.

Registration for the Oct. 9 event, sponsored by Gilead Oncology, is free but required. Refreshments will be served.

The tour continues on Saturday, October 10, at Health Fest at the Temple University Homecoming Game at Lincoln Financial Field, where the LBCA bus will be stationed at the Tailgate Village.
