LBCA is pleased to announce that Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) Member Dr. Rebecca Shatsky, who is Director of Breast Oncology at UC San Diego Health’s Moores Cancer Center, has agreed to assume the role of Chair of LBCA’s SAB.

Dr. Shatsky, who joined the SAB in May, 2024, succeeds Dr. Jason Mouabbi, Assistant Professor of Breast Medical Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, who has stepped down as Chair after three years of dedicated leadership. During his tenure, Dr. Mouabbi brought invaluable expertise, enthusiasm, and commitment to the role, helping support LBCA’s efforts to work with its SAB to create and share current and accurate ILC information for patients, develop important ILC research grant solicitations, and promote the importance of collaborations among patients and scientists in advancing the understanding of ILC.

LBCA is deeply grateful to Dr. Mouabbi for his outstanding leadership and service and looks forward to the continuing important and collaborative initiatives between LBCA and SAB members as Dr. Shatsky takes the helm.
