Hear from Dr. Higineo (Jose) Dopeso, Senior Research Scientist with Memorial Sloan Kettering, speaking about his winning ILC research grant application, “Deciphering Molecular Mechanisms and Therapeutic Vulnerabilities in RHOA-Altered Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer.” RHOA alterations refer to mutations in the RHOA gene or changes in RHOA expression that occur in a variety of cancers, including invasive lobular breast cancer.
LBCA Executive Director, Laurie Hutcheson recently spoke with Dr. Dopeso to learn more about his study and work with patient advocate, Gitte Joergensen to develop the application. Dr. Dopeso shares his preliminary data and findings and discusses a stated aim of the study to explore potential therapeutic susceptibilities associated with RHOA alterations in ILC and novel therapeutic approaches.
