LBCA SAB Member Dr. Rita Mukhtar, Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery and Associate Program Director, General Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, shared her perspective on the important role patient advocates play in research studies. She discussed how advocates positively impact her work and she offered valuable advice for those looking to deepen their involvement in the field.
