Advocacy in Action: ILC Patient Advocate Jade Moran Opens SNMMI Annual Meeting with the Patient Perspective

LBCA Patient Advocate Advisory Board member, and ILC patient advocate Jade Moran helped put lobular breast cancer front and center at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) this May. A keynote speaker in the conference’s opening session, Jade eloquently shared the ILC patient perspective with clinicians, researchers, and imaging professionals from around the world.

SNMMI is a professional organization dedicated to advancing nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, bringing together experts who are developing new approaches to cancer detection, monitoring, and treatment. LBCA has partnered with SNMMI for the past few years to jointly fund ILC imaging grants and we hold a seat on the SNMMI Patient Advocacy Advisory Board.  SNMMI’s  annual meeting serves as a global forum for presenting the latest scientific discoveries and innovations in medical imaging.

As a patient advocate, Jade highlighted the critical role that patients play in advancing research and improving care. Her participation reinforced the growing recognition that patient experiences and priorities should help guide scientific discovery, clinical trial design, imaging research, and healthcare decision-making.

LBCA is thankful to Jade for helping to ensure the patient voice is represented at major scientific meetings such as SNMMI. We congratulate Jade on using this important opportunity to raise awareness of the patient experience and help strengthen collaboration between researchers, clinicians, and the lobular breast cancer community.
