Ways to Give
Thank you for your interest in making a gift to support the work of the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance.
The Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA) is supported by the generosity of many people just like you! You can be assured that your gift is in good hands and will be used to support the LBCA mission and work that is so important to you. If you need additional information about any of these opportunities please reach out to our development team.
We strive to offer many ways to make a meaningful gift to support LBCA. Below is a list of the various opportunities we make available.
Cash, Credit Card, ACH, and Checks
Gifts in the form of cash, credit cards, ACH, and checks are welcome. We offer safe, secure online giving through our donation page.
Make checks payable to “Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance” and mail to:
Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance Inc., P.O. Box 200, Whitehorse Beach, MA 02381
Recurring Gifts
Recurring giving offers an accessible way of giving and helps establish more sustainable funding for LBCA. Recurring giving ensures consistent support for LBCA and allows donors to spread their gifts out over the year. You can set up your recurring gift on our donate page or by contacting Laurie Hutcheson at her email address. If you would like to update your schedule of recurring donations, please email us or you can do so yourself by signing in on our donate page.
Wire Transfer
If you would like to make your gift via wire transfer, please contact our executive director.
Employer Matching/Volunteer Gifts
Many employers offer a matching gift program where they will match the charitable gifts made by their employees. Check with your Human Resources department to see if your company offers this benefit and the process for making it happen.
Gifts of Stock and Securities
When you make a gift of stock to LBCA there is no obligation to pay capital gains taxes on the appreciation. Plus, you are still eligible to deduct the full fair-market value of the asset you donated from your income taxes, up to the overall amount allowed by the IRS. Gifts of appreciated stock may offer you significant savings. Gifts should consist of publicly traded securities without share transfer restrictions. If you wish to make a gift of stock please contact our executive director.
Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
You can immediately put the funds in your DAF to work by recommending a grant to LBCA. LBCA is a qualified charity to receive gifts from DAFs. Please reach out to your fund holder to recommend a grant to LBCA. Put your charitable giving to work right away!
Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
If you are required to take required minimum distributions (RMD) from your IRA this opportunity might be for you. For qualified plans, if the RMD is directed to a charitable organization there might be significant tax savings for you while providing up to $100,000 to charitable organizations. Consult your plan advisor or your financial planner to see if this would work for you and make your gift to LBCA today.
Planned Giving
Gift planning is a great way to ensure your lasting legacy and support LBCA. This could include a bequest, life insurance or retirement account designation, charitable trust, or other type of planned gift. Whether you want to put your gift to work now or later, create a plan that will work for you. Contact our executive director to start the discussion and see your legal and financial advisors for guidance.
Memorial/Honorary Gifts
Gifts to LBCA can be made in memory or in honor of someone. You can make a gift to remember a loved one or to honor an individual or a special occasion. Please let us know who/what the gift is in memory/honor of and include the name and address or contact information for the person you would like notified of the gift. These gifts can also be set up online.
Fundraise for LBCA
LBCA offers several ways to fundraise for us. This includes hosting a house party, a peer to peer fundraiser, Facebook fundraisers, and more. For more information on these opportunities visit our Fundraise page.
If you have questions about giving to support LBCA we are happy to speak with you. Please reach out to our executive director.
