On May 20, Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA) Scientific Advisory Board Member Dr. Jason Mouabbi and Dr. Debu Tripathy held an educational webinar presented by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The virtual event was intended for people with breast cancer, caregivers, faculty, staff, and community members.

During the presentation, the doctors defined invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC), discussed its epidemiology, and described how ILC is different from lobular carcinoma in situ and invasive ductal carcinoma. The webinar also covered a discussion of the treatments for ILC including surgery, chemotherapy, and endocrine therapy.
